As an Associate in the Chief Data Office, you will support case management duties and operate the governance process across all sub-Lines Of Businesses and all locations globally for the identification, capture, classification, decisioning and monitoring of data use cases within the Commercial Investment B.
Job Responsibilities :
- Support case management duties and operate the governance process across all sub-LOBs and all locations globally for the identification, capture, classification, decisioning and monitoring of data use cases within the CIB.
- Support the strategic vision of enabling data use while protecting data as an asset to the firm, and help to promote this culture with the business.
- Facilitate/Support the management of the CIB Data Use Council (‘DUC’) including meeting calendar, material and actions.
- Deliver process automation using industry standard tooling available in the Bank.
- Manage and Deliver Data use project and initiatives
- Build and maintain operational dashboards for stakeholders (Data Use leadership, approvers, requestors teams) with drill-down views by LOB, data products, sensitivity tier, geography etc.
- Experience designing KPIs and building dashboards in a BI tool (e.g., Tableau/Power BI/Qlik) and creating reliable datasets for reporting.
- Strong ability to communicate insights: turning metrics into decisions, not just visuals.
- Continue to build out the existing inventory of how data is used across the firm and by third parties to promote calibrated and well thought-out decision making.
- Refine existing processes for data use identification, review and decisioning for efficiency gains.
**Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities : **
- The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in or related to financial services and financial technology with demonstrated appreciation and understanding of data governance.
- Experience with AI/ML governance or model data considerations (training data, features, monitoring, explain ability-related documentation inputs).
- Build or product-manage automation to reduce manual reviews and improve consistency
- Audit/exam readiness experience: maintaining evidence, responding to queries, and improving control design.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders to support the goals of the business.
- Mentor team members and raise overall technical fluency in data architecture and automation.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
- Good risk awareness & control minded.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation and communication skills. Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage changes in planning
**Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities : **
- Knowledge and understanding of a broad set of CIB products and processes is a plus.
- Technical architecture capabilities is a plus.
- Proficient in automation tools like Python, UiPath, Alteryx etc.
- Proficient in BI tools like Tableau and Qlik.
- Desire to create structure for data and drive results and utilization of this structure in order to improve the JPM framework/environment.
- Strong data analysis, data management and problem solving skills. Business analysis and reporting skills are a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in emerging technology and “Generative AI” in the financial services industry.
