Chief of Staff to the CPO at Databricks, focusing on operational excellence and strategic alignment within the People organization. This role will support the transformation of the People organization into an AI-first function, identifying opportunities to leverage AI for automation, insights, and improved decision-making.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive the operating cadence of the People Leadership Team, including leadership meetings, quarterly and annual planning, and strategic reviews.
  2. Ensure alignment across People functions and Centers of Excellence by linking strategy, planning, and execution.
  3. Partner with functional leaders, PMO and finance to translate company priorities into clear People team objectives and operational plans.
  4. Develop reporting mechanisms and dashboards to track key People metrics, strategic initiatives, and organizational performance, and coordinate reporting metrics to the board and executive team as needed.
  5. Identify and implement AI-powered tools and workflows to improve the operating efficiency of the People organization, from automating routine reporting and communications to accelerating how the team synthesizes data and gets to better decisions, faster.

Skills

Required

  • Experience as a Chief of Staff, Strategy Lead, or similar role supporting a senior executive
  • 8–12+ years of experience in HR, strategy, operations, consulting, or business operations
  • Strong strategic thinking and program management skills
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Genuine AI adopter who actively uses AI tools to do their own work better, and brings curiosity and initiative to identifying how these tools can transform how the People team operates

Nice to have

  • Experience working with People/HR organizations or talent strategy initiatives is strongly preferred.
