China Tax Analyst

This role is for a China Tax Analyst at Oracle, responsible for performing indirect and direct tax filings, preparing tax computations and returns, managing tax settlements, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. The analyst will also prepare statistics reporting, assist with annual CIT computations and liquidated tax returns, and coordinate with other functional teams. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a tax professional or accountant with sufficient tax experience in multinational companies, advanced knowledge of China's tax and accounting regulations, and familiarity with accounting practices and systems. Strong communication, interpersonal, and responsibility skills are essential.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform indirect tax and direct tax filings for China entities on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including preparation and submission of tax computations and returns, tax settlement, tax registration updates when needed, tax invoice verification, reconciliation preparation, etc.
  2. Prepare/submit statistics reporting/surveys required by local tax bureaus and communicate with local tax bureaus, when needed.
  3. Assist managers to prepare annual CIT computation and annual CIT return or review annual tax filing package when the package is prepared by external tax advisor.
  4. Assist managers to prepare the liquidated tax returns or review the liquidated tax returns prepared by external advisor for any acquired entities that in simplification process.
  5. Coordinate with other functional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, HR, Business, etc.) to collect and collate the required data/information or seek for clarifications, as needed.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 2-year experience as a full-time tax professional, or accountant with sufficient tax experience for multinational companies.
  • Advanced knowledge in tax, accounting, and finance, familiar with prevailing tax and accounting regulations, tax practices in China.
  • Familiar with accounting practice and systems.
  • Strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, proactive and dedicated.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax, or related.
  • Fluent in English, written and oral.
