NVIDIA is seeking a Circuit Design Engineer to design and optimize circuit designs, focusing on noise reduction techniques. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing advanced simulation tools, and applying AI-driven methodologies for circuit optimization and predictive capabilities. Experience with EDA tools, silicon bringup, and AI for design tasks is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement innovative noise reduction techniques for cutting-edge circuit designs, ensuring optimal performance and minimized interference.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including layout engineers and system architects, to integrate noise-aware methodologies into product designs.
  3. Utilize advanced simulation tools to analyze circuit behavior under varying noise conditions, leveraging AI to enhance predictive capabilities and performance metrics.
  4. Participate in the development and refinement of design guidelines that incorporate machine learning insights for circuit optimization and noise management.
  5. Continuously explore and implement novel approaches, including AI-driven methodologies, to solve complex design challenges, enhancing overall design quality and efficiency.

Skills

Required

  • MS in EE, CE, Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in a related hardware engineering position
  • Proficient in using EDA tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., Spectre, HSPICE)
  • Exposure to critical path analysis, power analysis, process technologies, transistor/device physics, silicon reliability and aging mechanisms, BIOS, drivers, and software applications.
  • Previous experience with silicon bringup, frequency and power characterization, PPA in PreSilicon or PostSilicon phases, Tester to System correlation, lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ)
  • Ability to use AI-driven tools for circuit simulation and design optimization
  • Utilize data analysis and machine learning to identify noise sources and explore reduction techniques
  • Use AI tools to automate design tasks and optimize layouts
  • Leverage AI for generating documentation and facilitating team knowledge sharing
  • Strong judgment to validate AI-generated results for accurate design decisions

Nice to have

  • Experience in advanced noise reduction techniques or technologies such as deep learning for circuit
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal designs and testing methodologies
