This role is for a Clearing Associate at Jump Trading, focusing on financial operations, trade capture, lifecycle management, and reconciliation across global markets. It requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Excel, and ideally Python/SQL, with a background in finance or a related STEM field.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform daily clearing functions, including trade capture, lifecycle management, reconciliation, and resolving breaks across venues and products.
  2. Facilitate smooth operations by working directly with trading teams, clearing brokers, exchanges, and internal stakeholders across Technology, Finance, and Operations.
  3. Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows while assisting with developing and maintaining detailed procedural documentation.
  4. Execute additional operational duties as needed to support the business.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years in a related operational role, preferably in financial services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field with a STEM background
  • strong interest in Finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to collaborate globally and interface with internal and external contacts

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with post-trade lifecycles (Equities, Treasuries, Futures, FX, or Options)
  • Python and SQL skills
  • Genuine curiosity about data and technology, and utilising new tools proactively to work smarter
  • Familiarity with exchange connectivity, clearing systems, and trading infrastructure
