Client Consulting Manager

This role is a Manager position within Visa's Asia Pacific Consulting Practice (VCA). The primary focus is to lead consulting engagements for Visa clients, helping them improve their credit and debit payment card business through diagnostics, strategy assessments, and optimization of customer experience and processes. The role involves defining project scope, analyzing data, generating insights, and presenting recommendations to clients. It requires strong analytical skills, experience with analytics tools like SQL, SAS, Python, or R, and domain knowledge in payments and consumer finance. The role is client-facing and involves collaboration with internal Visa teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the delivery of a small project or a workstream within a more complex project, with support from Analysts, Associate Analysts, or vendors.
  2. Define project scope, understand clients’ objectives, and frame key business problems or opportunities.
  3. Collect and analyze inputs such as client information, interviews, data, processes, policies, and market or competitive information.
  4. Define detailed analytic scope and methodology, and create a clear analytic plan.
  5. Execute analysis using appropriate data mining and analytic techniques, including extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data to identify trends, gaps, issues, and opportunities.

Skills

Required

  • Around 8 years of relevant work experience in consulting, analytics, payments, consumer finance, banking, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down unclear business questions into clear and actionable steps.
  • Able to transfer data analysis skills across different business topics and adapt quickly to new project scenarios.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more analytics or programming tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, or R.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Nice to have

  • Experience in credit cards, card issuing, payments, or consumer lending, with prior consulting experience preferred.
  • Experience working on client-facing projects, with strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex analysis clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage smaller projects and work hands-on in larger projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
