Cloud Engineer With Public Trust

Cloud Engineer role focused on supporting cloud migration and hybrid integration activities, including builds, configuration, documentation, and validation. The role involves implementing cloud infrastructure changes, assisting with environment setup, executing deployment runbooks, and developing technical documentation. Steady-state operations and maintenance are out of scope. Requires experience with AWS or Azure, infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.), and CI/CD practices.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support cloud migration and hybrid integration activities across development, test, and production environments, including builds, configuration, documentation, and validation under the direction of a Cloud Modernization Lead; participate in cutover preparation and transition-to-O&M handoff activities.
  2. Implement cloud infrastructure changes and modifications in accordance with approved designs for cloud migrations and hybrid integrations.
  3. Assist with environment setup and configuration for test, lab, and pre-production validation activities.
  4. Execute runbook steps for deployments and cutovers; capture evidence and update procedures to support transition readiness and O&M handoff.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration notes, diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks, to support transition readiness.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3+ years of expereince in hands-on cloud engineering in AWS or Azure, including cloud migrations and hybrid networking
  • 3+ years Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or ARM, and familiarity with CI/CD practices
  • 3+ years expereince developing operational documentation and runbooks to support transition activities

Nice to have

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud environments, with the ability to own tasks end-to-end from design input through build, testing, validation, and documentation handoff
