RTX is seeking a Cloud Network Security Engineer in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. The role involves reviewing network security requests, assisting in the development of design recommendations, and deploying/configuring cloud firewall solutions. Responsibilities include day-to-day administration of Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, contributing to network security for acquisitions/divestitures, and maintaining DNS, DHCP, and IPAM systems. The position requires experience with network security fundamentals, firewall configuration, BGP routing, cloud peering, authentication mechanisms, and scripting languages like PowerShell or Terraform. Experience troubleshooting firewall issues and supporting firewall lifecycle activities is also necessary.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support internal RTX business units by reviewing network security requests and assisting in the development of appropriate design recommendations.
  2. Assist with the deployment and configuration of cloud firewall solutions, including applying network and security policies.
  3. Perform day‑to‑day administration of Palo Alto and Checkpoint cloud firewalls under the guidance of senior team members.
  4. Contribute to network security activities related to acquisitions and divestitures.
  5. Help update and maintain information for DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management systems.
