Software Engineer role focused on building and operating cloud-native microservices for Ford's connected vehicle platform. Responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of software services, scaling and optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability through testing and monitoring.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect & Code: Design, develop, maintain, and support multiple mission-critical cloud platform components and APIs that power Ford’s connected vehicle ecosystem.
  2. Own End-to-End Delivery: Take ownership of software services from initial design to deployment and production operations on modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP & Kubernetes).
  3. Scale & Optimize: Build high-performance, resilient, and event-driven microservices capable of handling massive, real-time data streams.
  4. Drive Engineering Excellence: Champion clean code, Test-Driven Development (TDD), robust API design, and comprehensive load/performance testing to ensure ultra-high reliability.
  5. Collaborate & Innovate: Partner closely with product managers, technical leaders, and cross-functional teams in an agile environment to translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions.
