This role is for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) within AWS Enterprise Support, focusing on helping enterprise customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. The TAM acts as a principal technical advisor, driving customer adoption of AWS services and ensuring operational health. While the company works with generative AI, this specific role is customer-facing technical support and strategy, not direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.
  2. As a Senior TAM, you will help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and many more.
  3. Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support and risk management.
  4. You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy.
  5. The close relationships developed with your customers will allow you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges, and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience
  • 2+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience informational technology operations

Nice to have

  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead
  • Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates
  • Experience with development in a distributed systems environment
  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
  • Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
  • Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and ability to properly apply them to existing or new customer architecture, implementations, and/or solutions
