Commercial Account Executive at ThoughtSpot, responsible for selling software and services, preferably in the Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics space. The role requires pipeline generation, prospecting, developing new opportunities, establishing trust with stakeholders, conducting product demonstrations, and managing complex sales cycles. A key aspect is the mandatory integration of AI tools into daily workflows for increased productivity and quality, including using LLMs for research, content creation, and summarization, and demonstrating curiosity, adaptability, and critical thinking regarding AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and manage a territory of "Digital Native" Commercial accounts, with a primary focus on winning new ThoughtSpot customers.
  2. Pipeline generation is the lifeblood of this sales role, therefore we seek those who embrace the work of prospecting and make it a core of their business activities already.
  3. You will spend your time developing new opportunities, establishing trust and credibility with end-users, influencers, and decision makers at all levels of your assigned accounts, conducting product demonstrations in person and via web-based technologies, and managing complex sales cycles with these very large companies.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years quota carrying experience in a technology sales environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently while teaming up with business partners (internal and external) to sell technology solutions priced at $50,000+
  • Well-spoken and poised; ability to command the attention of a room and bring a high level of energy
  • People consider you a leader and you are adept at influencing others to work with you on behalf of the customer
  • Ability to track sales metrics and performance as a way to aid personal improvement
  • Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into their daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
  • Hands-on experience to leverage AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
  • Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
  • Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.
  • Curiosity in exploring new AI tools
  • Adaptability to quickly learn and implement new, emerging AI technologies
  • Critical thinking to know when to identify when AI should be used versus when human judgement is necessary
