This role is for a Commercial Growth Account Executive at MongoDB, responsible for managing a book of business, driving revenue growth, and retaining high-value accounts. The individual will manage the complete sales process, identify and close sales pipelines, and prospect into CTOs, Engineering/IT Leaders, and developers. The role requires 1-3 years of quota-carrying sales experience, a proven track record of overachievement, and the ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology. Familiarity with databases and open-source technology is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage a book of business of several million dollars, responsible for growth and retention of high value accounts
  2. Proactively, identify, qualify, and close a sales pipeline
  3. Strategically prospect into CTOs, Engineering/IT Leaders, & developers
  4. Become a product expert and understand all components of MongoDB
  5. Manage your time efficiently

Skills

Required

  • 1-3 years of field experience in quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market
  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and generate qualified pipeline
  • A proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
  • Skilled in building business champions
  • Fluent in English
  • Must live in territory
  • Driven and competitive
  • Possess a strong desire to be successful

Nice to have

  • Previous sales development experience
  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
  • Familiarity with databases, develops and open source technology a plus
