The Commercial Solutions Engineer at Sigma Computing is responsible for managing and delivering the technical presales cycle, including presentations, demonstrations, and prototype development. They act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, aligning with sales teams to showcase the business value of the Sigma platform. The role requires understanding customer business challenges, building customized demos, and providing technical and security responses. While the company offers an AI platform, this specific role is focused on presales and customer engagement, not direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand and uncover business challenges and issues faced by the customer and be able to run targeted discovery sessions or workshops
  2. Engage with business users to define, create, and showcase solution prototypes
  3. Build and present customized demos for customers, trade shows, and webinars
  4. Confidently present and articulate the business value of the Sigma platform to all levels within an organization
  5. Deliver product, technical, and security related responses to RFPs/RFIs

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of analytics, business intelligence, or sales engineering experience
  • Customer relationship skills
  • Strong understanding of database concepts
  • Understanding of advanced spreadsheet concepts
  • Cloud data warehouse experience - Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience implementing production business intelligence solutions or proof of concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical/analytics field or equivalent technical & business experience

  • Experience at a SaaS company or with cloud architectures
