Commissioning Chief Engineer, Marauder

Seeking a licensed Chief Engineer to operate and maintain a mid-sized autonomous surface vessel, Marauder. Responsibilities include engine room operations, machinery maintenance, ensuring compliance with marine systems and regulations, and assisting in mission execution. Requires USCG Chief Engineer license and experience with maritime engineering systems. Experience with autonomous systems and DoD is desired.

What you'd actually do

  1. Complete all necessary maintenance on vessel machinery.
  2. Oversee all operations in the engine room
  3. Always be on-call while the vessel is underway to address any issues that arise during operations.
  4. Manage the inventory and ordering of spare parts
  5. Participate in the creation of a planned maintenance schedule

Skills

Required

  • Valid U.S. Coast Guard MMC Chief Engineer, Unlimited Horsepower
  • STCW Basic Training, OICEW
  • Valid TWIC , USCG STCW Medical Certificate, and passport.
  • Proficiency in maritime engineering systems, particularly electrical systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a group
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Pass background check and USCG/DOT drug testing prior to onboarding.
  • Security clearance and eligibility required

Nice to have

  • Familiar with jet-drive marine engines
  • Experience with autonomous or unmanned systems
  • Experience with software engineering
  • Prior experience working with the DoD or other government agencies
