Commissioning Manager

This role is for a Commissioning Manager responsible for the end-to-end delivery of new data center capacity for Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) organization. The manager will oversee commissioning projects, manage contracted agents, ensure projects meet Microsoft's standards, and work with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, and operations teams to deliver data center infrastructure.

What you'd actually do

  1. Primary responsibility for assigned metro commissioning projects with secondary responsibility for other CO&I commissioning projects for the region
  2. Manage the contracted Commissioning Agent assigned to Data Center construction projects in the assigned metro; Toronto, Canada .
  3. Construction site inspections to review Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) and commissioning process.
  4. Manage the Commissioning process for assigned metro projects; Toronto, Canada.
  5. Provide Vendor oversight and performance management (Scorecard driven).

Skills

Required

  • Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR 12+ years relevant technical engineering experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
