Commodity Manager

Commodity Manager responsible for the strategic management of defined commodity groups (e.g., fire extinguishing bottles, valves, control units, cables, mechanical assemblies) throughout the entire product lifecycle. This includes developing and implementing a global commodity strategy, analyzing procurement markets, identifying cost-saving potentials, selecting and developing strategic suppliers, and conducting price and contract negotiations. The role involves close collaboration with development, quality, production, and sales, ensuring material availability, and managing supply chain risks and compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Entwicklung und Umsetzung einer globalen Warengruppenstrategie
  2. Analyse von Beschaffungsmärkten, Technologietrends und Lieferantenstrukturen
  3. Identifikation und Realisierung von Einsparpotenzialen (TCO-Ansatz)
  4. Auswahl, Qualifizierung und Entwicklung strategischer Lieferanten
  5. Durchführung von Preis- und Vertragsverhandlungen
