Communications Coordinator

What you'd actually do

  1. Track, catalog and analyze both Redfin coverage and competitor coverage while consistently looking for ways to optimize processes for accuracy and efficiency
  2. Draft press releases and pitch Redfin reports to local media outlets
  3. Draft press briefing documents for spokespeople
  4. Research how the media is covering housing, including insights for the rental market
  5. Keep team updated on relevant industry events, emerging media platforms and more

Skills

Required

  • 1-2 years of full-time PR or communications experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Highly organized and have experience tracking coverage and creating reports
  • Worked with reporters before and know how to draft a good pitch
  • Creative thinker and strong communicator who reads the news and understands what’s considered newsworthy
