This role is for a Communications Data and Insights Manager at Okta, focused on building an analytics engine to inform and drive corporate communications strategy. The manager will translate data into actionable insights, measure campaign performance, identify trends, and establish KPIs. The role involves continuous monitoring of media and social platforms, competitive analysis, content performance evaluation, and reporting. While the company is heavily invested in AI and the role will leverage AI tools, the core function is communications analytics, not AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Operate a continuous monitoring and analysis program across media, social platforms, and competitive landscapes to surface emerging narratives and reputational signals in real time.
  2. Conduct ongoing measurement of Okta’s share of voice relative to competitors, diagnosing drivers of competitive spikes and providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
  3. Continuously assess Okta’s position across earned media, social, and analyst coverage, translating ambiguous signals into structured analysis that connects activities to brand perception and business outcomes.
  4. Partner with Marketing Operations teams to identify correlations between earned media spikes and "top-of-funnel" indicators, such as organic search volume, branded traffic, and account-level engagement signals.
  5. Guide editorial planning by surfacing what resonates and identifying the ‘whitespace’ in the market—untapped topics and story angles—guiding our content strategy toward high-impact narratives that set Okta apart.
