This role is for a Communications Manager focused on shaping and executing an executive digital voice strategy for Microsoft's Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) Headquarters team. The focus is on issues-based storytelling across social and digital channels, particularly related to Washington state policy, community engagement, and philanthropy, aiming to build a credible and trusted executive presence at the intersection of technology, society, and local impact. The role requires a modern, experimental approach to digital communication, including piloting new formats and platforms.

  4. Bring a test-and-learn mindset to content, piloting new formats, tone, and channel strategies
  5. Apply strong judgment in high-visibility or sensitive moments, including message disciplie, accuracy, and appropriate tone and escalation

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years experience in communications, social media, or digital storytelling, or related experience

  • Writing and editorial skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
