This is a Communications Specialist role at Caterpillar, focused on managing internal communication channels, creating content, and supporting strategic messaging for the Technology and PSLD divisions. It does not involve building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Streamline communication workflows to boost efficiency and ensure consistent messaging
  2. Track and analyze metrics to measure impact and guide improvements
  3. Design graphics and videos to drive engagement in campaigns
  4. Create and manage content across employee platforms, aligning with brand voice
  5. Develop and share key updates through written messages, presentations, and other materials

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing or 5+ years of equivalent experience in corporate communications
  • Experience managing internal communication tools and channels, producing and distributing content such as newsletters, campaigns and change communications
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects independently and with urgency; skilled at simplifying complex ideas, anticipating stakeholder needs and adjusting messaging to drive clarity and alignment
  • Knowledge of concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations
  • Knowledge of multimedia publishing technologies and procedures; ability to use installed audio, visual and animation software tools to produce multimedia publications.
  • Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing.
