Communications - Vice President

This role is for a Vice President in the Communications team for JPMorgan Chase's Commercial & Investment Bank in Singapore. The primary focus is on developing and executing internal and external communication strategies, including media relations, content creation (press releases, thought leadership, speeches), and advising executives. While the role provides communications support for functions including tech and AI, it is not directly involved in building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the development and execution of a multi-faceted communications strategy for the firm, including media engagement for senior leaders, internal communications channels and holistic public relations activities across traditional, social and digital media
  2. Support media engagements for the Singapore franchise and relevant businesses and functions to successfully deliver impactful coverage across priority press publications.
  3. Develop and write high-quality content, including press releases, thought leadership, internal articles, newsletters, announcements, townhalls and executive speeches for a broad range of channels.
  4. Serve as a trusted advisor to executives in Singapore and ensure consistent messaging that is aligned with the broader communications strategy and business priorities
  5. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders within a regional team and across business functions

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, media relations or financial journalism
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify, tell and share great stories through effective writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Highly responsive with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as partnering with and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Fluency across social media and other communications channels, both internal and external, with a proven ability to tap them for the right target audience
  • Proven judgment in handling sensitive issues, particularly pertaining to media
  • Effective analytical and critical thinking skills; ability and eagerness to take a creative approach to problem solving
  • Bachelor's Degree
