Community Engagement Manager for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) focused on building partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and industry partners to enhance Oracle's brand presence, develop workforce pipelines, and demonstrate corporate responsibility. The role involves organizing events, facilitating listening sessions, developing education partnerships for internships/apprenticeships, aligning curricula with skill requirements, engaging vendors, acting as an ambassador in forums, and supporting recruitment efforts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Sponsor, organize, and participate in local and regional community events, particularly within the technology and cloud computing sectors, to build awareness of OCI and highlight Oracle’s commitment to positive community involvement.
  2. Conduct and facilitate listening sessions to understand the needs, interests, and concerns of community members, and report actionable insights to key stakeholders for follow-up planning.
  3. Develop and manage partnerships with colleges, community colleges, and technical/vocational schools to create internship and apprenticeship programs, and to establish pipelines for future cloud and technical talent.
  4. Help align curricula with OCI’s evolving skill requirements and identify future talent prospects within educational institutions and training programs.
  5. Identify and engage local and diverse vendors to strengthen OCI’s supply chain and foster deeper investment in local economies.
