Compensation Analyst

Stripe is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support Compensation Program Managers and Compensation Partners by providing data-driven insights and executing compensation processes. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compensation offerings scale effectively. Responsibilities include conducting compensation analysis and modeling, supporting annual pay range benchmarking, managing vendor relationships, developing compensation tools and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy in HRIS, supporting annual compensation planning, researching new compensation policies, and managing complex datasets.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct detailed compensation analysis and modeling to support compensation program design, recommendations and decision making
  2. Play a critical role in our annual pay range benchmarking and review process
  3. Support Stripe’s relationship with third-party vendors by ensuring data sets are comprehensive and current
  4. Develop and maintain compensation tools, dashboards, and templates to drive informed decision-making
  5. Collaborate with People and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely compensation data and reporting

Skills

Required

  • 3 - 5+ years of relevant work experience in the compensation field
  • Experience developing and managing global compensation programs and processes
  • Strong understanding of compensation best practices, current compensation trends, and market benchmark data
  • Proven analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and truly in-depth knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets including building and maintaining complex models
  • Ability to leverage AI in building tools, automating tasks, and enhancing workflow efficiency
  • Experience communicating effectively across diverse teams
  • Deep commitment to excellent user experience, empathy, and discretion
  • Familiarity with equity compensation programs and related compliance requirements

Nice to have

  • Strong knowledge of Workday and/or Tableau functionality
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Java)
  • Experience with Workday and the Workday Advanced Compensation module
  • Experience supporting equity compensation programs at a private or publicly traded company
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple high-priorities in a fast-paced environment
