Compensation and Benefits Manager

This role is for a Compensation and Benefits Manager at Glean, an AI-powered knowledge management platform. The manager will design, analyze, and manage compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talent, ensuring competitiveness and equity. Responsibilities include market analysis, compensation reviews, benefits administration, vendor management, and compliance monitoring. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in compensation and benefits, preferably in tech. The company uses AI extensively in its product, but this role is not directly involved in building or deploying AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct regular compensation benchmarking and market analyses to inform salary ranges, pay structures, and equity guidelines.
  2. Assist with the design, modeling, and administration of compensation programs
  3. Support the annual compensation review process, including system setup, data validation, reporting, and analytics.
  4. Partner with the leadership and Finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning.
  5. Manage and analyze benefits program data (health, retirement, wellness, etc.) to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Skills

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in a compensation, benefits, or total rewards role
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience conducting job evaluations and compensation benchmarking
  • Clear, concise communicator
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and tools like Rippling, Gusto, or Workday
  • Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in the U.S.

Nice to have
