What you'd actually do

  1. Read and interpret blueprints
  2. Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products
  3. Applies liquid or solid bonding agents
  4. Monitors and verify quality of finished products
  5. Completes repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Composites experience
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
  • Ability to access small, confined spaces
  • Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret or Top-Secret Clearance
  • Ability to utilize a computer for basic functions

  • Experience with structural subassemblies
  • Fiberglass experience
  • RV/ Motorhome work experience
  • Boat Repair experience
  • Completion of A&P certificate program
  • Completion of AFAB Certification
