DoorDash is seeking a Lead Composite & Prototype Technician to fabricate structural components for their autonomous delivery robots. This role involves advanced materials, precision layup, and assembly of electromechanical systems. The technician will also support physical assembly and maintenance of robotic vehicles and test fixtures.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform tooling prep operations in preparation for lamination.
  2. Prepare and organize composite materials in preparation for lamination.
  3. Apply composite materials onto molds or tooling surfaces using techniques like hand layup or automated processes.
  4. Ensure proper ply orientation, ply thickness, and material consolidation is achieved.
  5. Utilize advanced vacuum bagging techniques for composite layup operations, including Pre-Preg, Infusion, and Wet/Vacuum Bag Lamination.
