Entry-level VFX compositing role for recent graduates or those with up to two years of experience, offering training and mentorship in a live production environment. The program is 8 weeks long and may lead to a Junior Artist position. Focus is on learning compositing tasks within the VFX pipeline.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with the Compositing Supervisor or Lead, and with the help of a Senior/Lead Compositor, evaluate the creative and technical approach for assigned shots
  2. Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process, including 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, and colour grading on moderately difficult shots
  3. Maintain the overall look, colour balance, and quality for assigned shots and sequences to create uniformity in all finished work
  4. Work with artists from other disciplines
  5. Strengthen professional habits, including best practices for presenting work in dailies, working as a team, and communicating effectively

Required

  • Knowledge of Nuke
  • Good aesthetic skills in judging photo-realism and colour
  • Familiarity with using Unix systems
