Computer Operations Analyst role supporting the C2BMC program, which is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System. Responsibilities include daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance in a 24x7 environment, providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware/software/networks, documenting and reporting issues, and assisting with installations and user account management. Requires a Secret clearance and specific IT certifications (IAT Level II or higher).

What you'd actually do

  1. Will provide first-level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC hardware, software, and networks
  2. The candidate will document and report all events or issues to the CWO and receive tasks and direction from the CCC for all operations, tests, and real-world events
  3. The candidate will also assist with all hardware and software installations as directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  5. Performs additional duties and assignments as required

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, SecurityX, CCNA-Security, CySA+ **, CND, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc.)
  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance
  • Strong background and experience in operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems and networking environments
  • Sound background and experience in system and/or network administration, including Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper
  • Strong background and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components
  • Rotating 24/7 shift work

Nice to have

  • Applicants currently holding an active, in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, with eligibility to be read onto SCI
  • Experience and knowledge of C2BMC System or Missile Defense Systems
