Construction Manager for Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) team, responsible for delivering datacenter capacity. This role involves project and cost controls, program delivery, cross-functional collaboration, technical oversight, risk management, and vendor management. Requires experience in data center projects and construction project management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Monitors approved project budgets and oversees project controls (PERs, PSRs, change orders, pay apps), identifying risks and recommending adjustments to maintain financial discipline.
  2. Facilitates delivery of campus and metro‑based construction projects through timely, data‑driven decision‑making in partnership with local teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment to Safety, Security, Quality, Schedule, and Cost priorities.
  3. Partners with CO+I and key Microsoft stakeholders to drive adoption of updated processes, improving cost savings, cycle time, and operational efficiency across programs.
  4. Reviews engineering documentation, designs, and site plans; identifies gaps and risks; and provides recommendations that improve constructability while adhering to security core priorities and standards.
  5. Represents Microsoft as a safety advocate by establishing risk mitigation metrics, supporting national safety goals, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA), conducting audits, and contributing to incident investigations.
