This role manages the construction and commissioning of autonomous vehicle charging stations and maintenance facilities, focusing on project management, vendor selection, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. It is not directly involved in AI/ML model development but supports the infrastructure for autonomous vehicles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Comprehensively manage projects from design handoff through construction completion, strictly maintaining quality, budget, and timelines.
  2. Conduct RFPs, answer RFIs, level-set proposals, and select general contractors for the construction of both maintenance depots and charging station projects.
  3. Complete constructability reviews and construction estimates during the design phase to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams, external consultants, and general contractors to drive efficient project execution and compliance with negotiated agreements.
  5. Provide general contractor oversight and manage project budgets, ensuring strict compliance with Uber’s safety standards, local codes, and regulations.
