Consultant - Cloud Architect

This role focuses on cloud security architecture, implementation, and risk management for organizations undergoing cloud transformation. It involves designing and evaluating security solutions across major cloud platforms and supporting the implementation of various cloud security technologies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading workstreams across cloud cyber risk engagements, including assessment, design, implementation, and post-implementation activities.
  2. Designing and evaluating cloud security architectures, configuration standards, and risk mitigation approaches across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud.
  3. Developing client deliverables, including technical assessments, architecture designs, security recommendations, implementation plans, and remediation roadmaps.
  4. Supporting the implementation and optimization of cloud security technologies, including cloud native application protection platform, cloud security posture management, cloud workload protection platform, identity and access management, security monitoring, and DevSecOps controls.
  5. Contributing to practice development through solution development, market research, proposal support, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior practitioners.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, technology risk, or technology consulting.
  • 2+ years of experience designing, assessing, or implementing security solutions in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud environments.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud security architecture, control design, or cloud configuration standards.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud native application protection platform, cloud security posture management, cloud workload protection platform, identity and access management, security monitoring, or DevSecOps controls.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, or another technical field.
  • Ability to travel 80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading project workstreams or technical deliverables for cloud security or cybersecurity engagements.
  • Experience with cloud transformation or migration programs in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with security controls aligned to ISO 27001, National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Special Publication 800-53, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, or System and Organization Controls 2.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with container security, Kubernetes, or application security testing.
  • Cloud security or cloud platform certifications.
