Content Researcher, Events and Experiences

This role focuses on shaping and delivering content for Google's global events, with a specific emphasis on the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. The Content Researcher will contribute to event agendas, speaker acquisition, and the creation of various content assets. A key aspect of the role involves strengthening the Google brand, particularly in the area of artificial intelligence (AI), and advocating for the use of AI in work execution. The ideal candidate is a curious storyteller with experience in content production, journalism, events, or communications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to the development of event agendas and speaker acquisition for major events, researching, identifying, and booking internal and external speakers and individuals.
  2. Demonstrate curiosity about the world around us, and seek to hear from and identify voices who talk to pressing issues.
  3. Develop and create a variety of content assets (e.g., executive briefs, speaking remarks, scripts, videos, and case studies) to bring narratives to life.
  4. Act as a subject matter expert in content and speaker strategy, advising other Google teams on best practices for editorial programming.
  5. Advocate and demonstrate the use of artificial intelligence for efficient work and execution.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in content production, communications, events marketing, or journalism.
  • Experience in briefing executive principals.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing relationships and partnerships.
  • Ability to identify, understand, and engage with a wide array of topics and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to lead operational initiatives with project management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to write and translate issues into simple, compelling language.
