Microsoft is seeking a Continuous Improvement Program Manager to identify, lead, and support strategic initiatives to improve operational performance across the organization. This role applies lean, six sigma, and other performance enhancement methodologies to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities include leading Lean Six Sigma projects, analyzing business processes, facilitating Kaizen events, and collaborating cross-functionally. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, and at least 7 years of experience in process improvement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and execute Lean Six Sigma projects to drive operational excellence.
  2. Analyze business processes and identify areas for cost savings, cycle time reduction, or quality improvement.
  3. Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S audits, and process walkthroughs.
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, IT, and HR to deliver measurable improvements.
  5. Collect and analyze data using statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel).

Skills

Required

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • 7+ years of experience in process improvement or operational excellence
  • Proficiency in Lean tools (5S, A3 Report, Kaizen Process, Value Stream Mapping, Standardized Work, Error Proofing, Takt Time/Cycle Time Analysis)
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, SigmaXL, or equivalent)
  • Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
