This role is for a Contract Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator at Northrop Grumman, supporting government programs. Responsibilities include leading proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration from proposal through closeout, managing daily contract activities, and ensuring compliance with FAR and DFARS. The role requires experience with various contract types and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and customers. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration activities from proposal through closeout.
  2. Administer daily contract activities for a variety of product lines and contract types, including cost reimbursable and firm fixed price; such activities will include establishing payment terms, initiating, and monitoring invoicing, collections, and funding to support financial objectives.
  3. Participate in customer meetings, performing and monitoring compliance to contract requirements and leading change management process.
  4. Work complex assignments independently and support Finance, Program Management, and various levels of Management
  5. Enter and manage data in the Contract Management System, financial and delivery systems.

Skills

Required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience with various contract types such as Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price
  • Capable & effective proposal development skills

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS clauses

What the JD emphasized
