Contract Closeout Specialist (experienced or Senior)

This role focuses on contract closeout administration for proprietary programs, involving negotiation, drafting contractual language, business plan development, due diligence, auditor support, process risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements. What you'd actually do

  1. Exercises appropriate signature authority
  2. Proposes and negotiates agreements utilizing approved contract terms and conditions
  3. Researches, drafts and makes recommendations on proposal and contractual language supporting the product or service, delivery processes and conducts document reviews
  4. Develops, documents and executes complex business plans through the analysis of contractual data
  5. Performs due diligence and integration of newly acquired entities to ensure implementation of contracting policies and practices

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience with government contracts
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 3+ years of experience working with acquisition policies, e.g., United States Government (USG), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (FAR/DFARS)

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team
