Contract Negotiator

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as a primary legal contact for Workday’s legal team
  2. Manage workflow, document generation and review processes for a variety of contract types, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distribution
  3. Assist with maintenance of contracts management system as well as implementation and enforcement of contract practices and policies
  4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review cycles, acting as a key contact for the legal department by providing guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, copies, questions, etc.
  5. Review proposed modifications to contracts and work with internal business partners and third parties to negotiate terms, and obtain approvals for modifications as required

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience managing contracts (including drafting and negotiation) in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with a contract management system, e.g.. Apttus or others
  • Experience with electronic signature software, e.g. EchoSign, Docusign
  • Strong collaborative spirit, including outstanding influence and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented environment
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for solving problems and adding value to the Company.
