Contract Servicer Balancing Analyst I (contingent)

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of reports and remittances from primary servicers, involving complex research on issues related to servicer advance recoveries, transfers, reporting discrepancies, and inquiries. It acts as a relationship manager for counterparties and a liaison between investors and servicers, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills within the mortgage and financial services industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Under strict deadlines and within established timeframes, reconcile complex reports received from primary servicers in accordance with Servicing Agreements and Departmental policy.
  2. Act in the role of relationship manager to his/her counterparties for all reports assigned.
  3. Complete research on difficult issues relating to servicer reporting, cash settlement issues, and servicer inquiries.
  4. Research and correct servicing errors or discrepancies within established timeframes and ensure accurate information is sent to the trust and investors.
  5. Point of contact for escalated servicer issues. Direct servicers in accordance with servicing requirements and instruct servicers on the resolution of issues.
