Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 2 Contract Administrator to support their Global Surveillance Division's Autonomous Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting (AISR&T) Business Unit. The role involves supporting proposal development, submissions, negotiations, and program execution by providing contractual interpretation and guidance. The administrator will interface with external customers, internal program management, functional management, and senior leadership. Key responsibilities include administering, extending, negotiating, and terminating contracts, examining estimates, processing reports, advising management on contractual rights, compiling data, and maintaining historical information. A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in contracts management or a related field, strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance are required. Preferred qualifications include an active Secret Clearance, Aerospace and Defense industry experience, experience in contract negotiations, knowledge of FAR and DFARS, and experience with various contract types and complex production efforts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.
  2. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  3. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Processes specifications, progress, and other reports.
  5. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in contracts management, contract administration, proposals, business management, or other related experience or a Master's degree
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible and change directions when needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance
