Netflix Netflix · Big Tech · Los Angeles, CA +1 · Series Animation

Netflix is seeking a Contracts Coordinator for their Series Animation Contract Management team. This role involves managing Above-The-Line (ATL) talent contracts, ensuring timely and accurate payments, tracking important option dates and deadlines, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in contracts administration within the entertainment industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively review, evaluate and execute the contractual financial obligations of agreements and deal terms for ATL talent working on our series, both domestically and internationally. Our team handles payments for rights, scripts, writers, producers, consultants, casting and voice directors, production companies and more. The payments we handle can cover projects from development through launch of the series.
  2. Prepare one-time payment authorizations and recurring payment schedules for ATL talent to facilitate timely and accurate payments. Payments are processed internally via accounts payable or payroll. Our team provides guidance for applicable guild minimums, as well as guild PH&W rates and caps. In addition, you should be familiar with loan out corporations, pay entities, local tax withholding obligations, etc.
  3. Track deadlines for ATL deals from the development phase through reversion, including subsequent seasons, talent and rights option deadlines and hold periods. We draft and issue relevant notices, including extensions, and option exercise notices. We track writers' room engagements, various development and production milestone deliveries, and order-to-series deadlines.
  4. Collect ATL payroll start paperwork, and ensure that it is accurate and complete.
  5. Serve as one of the points of contact for onboarding and offboarding above-the-line talent within Netflix Series Animation to ensure an excellent experience for our talent.
