Contracts Manager

Anthropic Anthropic · AI Frontier · New York, NY +1 · Legal

This role is for a Contracts Manager at Anthropic, an AI company. The primary responsibility is to support commercial and technology transactions by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with enterprise customers, vendors, and partners. The role also involves building scalable contracting processes and collaborating with various internal teams. While the company builds AI systems, this role is focused on the business and legal aspects of contracting, not the AI development itself.

What you'd actually do

  1. Draft, analyze, negotiate, and complete complex commercial transactions with the company’s enterprise customers, vendors, and strategic partners, including IP licensing agreements
  2. Propose and develop scalable solutions to improve contracting efficiency
  3. Collaborate with business units and legal team members to streamline contract management processes, identify potential risks, and drive continuous improvement in contract handling efficiency
  4. Collaborate with the Product, Sales, Business Operations, Research, and Procurement teams to achieve key business objectives and deliver strategic, business-minded, and solutions-focused counsel
  5. As a relatively small legal team supporting big things, each legal team member practices across multiple areas. We’d love to hear where else you’d be interested to pitch in, whether as a function of your experience or interests
