Contracts Manager

This role is for a Contracts Manager at Harvey, an AI company transforming legal and professional services. The manager will interface with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of agreements, manage the contracts management system, and support the legal department. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements, developing contract templates and playbooks, refining workflows, flagging compliance issues, and providing training. The role requires 4+ years of in-house experience, ideally in a SaaS or tech company, with hands-on experience in commercial agreements and contracts management systems. AI experience is welcomed but not required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Marketing and Sponsorship Agreements, Staffing Agreements, and other Procurement Agreements
  2. Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks, refine approval workflows and intake processes, and leverage Harvey to continuously improve and scale the legal team's contracting operations
  3. Flag non-standard terms and issues affecting product, privacy, and regulatory compliance, escalate to legal counsel as needed, negotiate Data Processing Agreements, and ensure contracts comply with internal policies
  4. Provide training and develop resources in support of our go-to-market and other cross-functional teams

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years of in-house experience, ideally supporting a SaaS or tech company
  • Hands-on experience with Procurement, Master Services Agreements, NDAs, SaaS, technology, and/or IP licensing commercial agreements
  • Experience with contracts management systems and related systems (such as or similar to Ironclad, Zip and Docusign)
  • Exceptional project management skills
