This role focuses on leveraging AI to enhance engineering productivity and operational excellence within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The engineer will design and build secure, scalable systems, implement AI-assisted workflows for development, testing, and operations, and drive the use of AI-driven insights to improve reliability, accelerate delivery, and reduce technical debt. The primary focus is on shipping AI-enhanced enterprise solutions.

  1. design and deliver major features while leveraging AI to improve engineering productivity, operational excellence, and business outcomes
  2. build secure, scalable, and maintainable systems, lead feature and subsystem design, and ensure operational readiness through automation, observability, and AI-assisted workflows
  3. use AI for improving development, testing, troubleshooting, operational efficiency, and customer experience
  4. use AI-driven insights and automation to reduce operational overhead, improve service reliability, accelerate delivery, and minimize technical debt while delivering scalable, customer-focused solutions
  5. architect and develop scalable, innovative solutions that ensure OCI resources start secure and remain secure

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years distributed service engineering experience
  • Experience driving feature design reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers through the entire launch process
  • Strong development experience in Java, C++, C#, or similar OO languages
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
  • Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
  • Good understanding of databases, SQL, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies

Nice to have

  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
  • Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules
  • Expertise in applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques to develop security solutions
  • Experience and understanding of Cryptograph, DDoS, CVE, CIS, SAST, DAST, or similar security and compliance knowledge
