Corinth Reman Manufacturing Engineering Technician III (1st Shift)

This role supports Manufacturing Engineers in a Caterpillar Remanufacturing facility, focusing on project implementation, daily operations support, and documentation. Responsibilities include developing print packages, tooling and fixturing, CI cards, standard work, and plant layouts. The position requires experience in manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and problem-solving.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support NPI and implementation of updated processes
  2. Support installation and run-off of new equipment
  3. Assist in troubleshooting equipment problems or other issues related to NPI
  4. Trial and runoff of new tools and associated training of group leaders and operators
  5. Investigation and implementation of VS CI cards

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years in a Caterpillar Remanufacturing facility OR an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related field
  • Experience reading and understanding blueprints
  • Experience reading and understanding precision gauges and/or torque devices
  • Experience with IT related tasks (Network connectivity, Hardware, Software installation)
  • Experience with process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEAs
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems, recognizing the need for support and creating teams to accomplish tasks, if necessary.

Nice to have

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related field
  • Currently enrolled in or desire to pursue additional education in a manufacturing related field
  • 2+ years of experience working with bill of materials and engine assembly
  • Working knowledge of EPIX/PRWB
  • Working knowledge of MES/Pinpoint
  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar tool crib and LMS inventory systems
  • Working knowledge of purchasing systems (NextGen / Guided Buy)
  • Experience with capital project execution and implementation
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Creo, etc.)
  • Tooling/fixturing design experience
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • High degree of accountability for product and processes
  • High proficiency of PC skills including e-mail, Microsoft Office applications
  • IT knowledge (Network connectivity, Hardware Troubleshooting, Software installation)
