Corporate Accounting Analyst

This role manages accounting execution for Cloud, Generative AI, and technology services, involving general ledger responsibilities, contract review using AI capabilities, balance sheet account ownership, executive reporting, intercompany transactions, goodwill/intangible asset accounting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives. It requires a strong understanding of GAAP and proficiency in accounting systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Review Cloud, Generative AI, and technology service contracts and apply established accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP and internal guidance
  2. Leverage contract AI capabilities to extract, summarize, and review cloud and technology services contracts, accelerating review cycles and reducing manual effort
  3. Own Cloud-related balance sheet accounts include prepare and post related journal entries, perform flux analysis, and account reconciliation; monitor Cloud spend, financial performance, and indicators that may require impairment consideration; maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness throughout the process.
  4. Prepare executive reporting packages for Cloud spend and performance, including analysis of trends, key drivers, and risks
  5. Record intercompany transactions and perform related reconciliations, and resolve of-balance items

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems including SAP and Blackline
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement approach
  • Collaborative great teammate who can also work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to have

  • CPA license or active CPA candidate
  • Experience with intercompany transactions, consolidation, and multi-entity reporting
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
  • Public accounting background (Big 4 or regional firm)
