The role involves managing external lawyers, developing legal strategies, providing legal advice, briefing senior management, and managing legal budgets. Requires a Juris Doctor degree, active state bar membership, at least 8 years of litigation and government contracts experience, and US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Working with and managing external lawyers and services providers
  2. Developing and implementing legal strategies and managing the Company’s actions regarding potential disputes and matters in litigation
  3. Collaborating across all parts of the business to provide effective legal advice to the Company
  4. Briefing senior management on disputes or matters involving a significant legal exposure or risk to the Company
  5. Developing and managing legal budgets

Skills

Required

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Active State Bar Membership with the ability to become a member of the Virginia Bar or licensed Virginia corporate counsel
  • At least 8 years of litigation and government contracts experience
  • Experience litigating government contract matters
  • Proven litigation experience and expertise as a litigation strategist
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
