Netflix is seeking a UK qualified lawyer with 5+ years of PQE experience to serve as Counsel, Employment Legal for the UK & EMEA region. The role involves advising on corporate employment issues, production-related employment matters, investigations, and compliance across the UK and EMEA, collaborating with various internal teams and external counsel. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advising on corporate employment issues (conflicts, dismissals, benefits, compliance, M&A) in the UK in collaboration with the talent teams.
  2. Advising on the changes in relation to and helping prepare for the implementation of The Employment Rights Act 2025.
  3. Advising on EMEA wide projects in collaboration with the rest of the EMEA Employment Legal team.
  4. Advising on production-related employment issues in the UK and across the EMEA region in collaboration with members of EMEA Employment Legal, Production HR, Business and Legal Affairs, Physical Production, Safety, Content, and other teams who support our local productions.
  5. Providing subject matter expertise on a broad range of employment issues, including engaging cast and crew, misclassification risks, working time issues, discrimination, harassment and other employment practices, equality issues, and terminations arising on our productions filming in various countries throughout EMEA.
