Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Production Counsel in Argentina to provide comprehensive legal support to the Production team for scripted and unscripted content. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating production-related agreements, advising on legal issues, and ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies. The Counsel will report to the Legal Director, Production and support projects from development through post-production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide day-to-day legal support to the Production team for local and regional productions in Argentina.
  2. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of production-related agreements, including but not limited to: - Talent agreements (on-screen and off-screen) - Director, producer, writer and crew agreements - Location agreements - Production services agreements - Music licenses and releases
  3. Advise on legal issues related to production, including labor law, unions, guilds, intellectual property, rights clearances, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Support the business throughout the full production lifecycle: development, pre-production, production and post-production.
  5. Ensure compliance with Warner Bros. Discovery legal standards, risk management practices, and internal policies.

Skills

Required

  • Law degree from an accredited university in Argentina.
  • Licensed to practice law in Argentina.
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a strong focus on media, entertainment, or audiovisual production.
  • Solid knowledge of Argentine labor law, intellectual property law, and production-related legal frameworks.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, creative environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in-house or with law firms advising production companies, studios or broadcasters is highly valued.
