Canva is seeking a Country Content Strategy Specialist for a 12-month engagement in Bangkok or Ho Chi Minh City. The role involves owning and executing content strategy for Thailand and Vietnam, ensuring quality and cultural resonance, optimizing content for engagement, and building relationships with local creators. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of experience in content strategy or regional business operations, a strong understanding of local culture, data-driven decision-making skills, and fluency in Thai or Vietnamese.

What you'd actually do

  1. Owning and executing content strategy for Thailand and Vietnam, driving relevance, scale, and measurable business impact across MAU, retention, and revenue
  2. Ensuring content quality and cultural resonance — making sure what we produce genuinely connects with local users and meets Canva's standards
  3. Leading discovery and performance across search, editorial, and recommendations — optimising content for engagement, activation, and retention
  4. Driving editorial and trends leadership across surfaces like Showcases, identifying and activating cultural moments in partnership with Marketing, Social, and PR
  5. Acting as a strategic partner to the Country Managers — aligning priorities, unblocking execution, and translating regional direction into country-level plans
  6. Building relationships with local creators and partners to activate a thriving content ecosystem across both markets

Skills

Required

  • 3–5+ years in content strategy, regional business operations, or a similar role at a high-growth tech or media company
  • Genuine pulse on what resonates culturally in Thailand and/or Vietnam
  • Comfortable shaping strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute
  • Ability to bring cross-functional teams along, building alignment across SEO, Localisation, Creators, Product, and Marketing without needing formal authority
  • Use data to drive decisions
  • Fluent in Thai or Vietnamese (or both), with the cultural knowledge and language skills to work effectively across both markets
