Responsibilities include floorplanning, circuit design, simulation, verification, signal integrity analysis, and post-silicon analysis.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, and build custom digital circuits, including memory and caches, with a focus on power, performance, area, timing, and yield optimization.
  2. Create floorplans, perform circuit design, schematic entry, and simulation for CPU blocks, and verify functionality for optimal design.
  3. Collaborate with architecture and layout teams to ensure robust circuit designs with high electrical capabilities.
  4. Develop and implement methodologies to streamline design flows and optimize performance, power, and area trade-offs.
  5. Conduct signal integrity analysis to minimize noise glitches and reduce leakage of CPU circuits.
