Cpu Rtl Design Engineer

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Texas, Austin, United States +1

This role is for a CPU Logic Design Engineer responsible for designing and optimizing logic for Intel's processors. The engineer will develop RTL code, define architecture and microarchitecture features, and ensure design integrity for physical implementation. The role requires expertise in Verilog/System Verilog, modern energy-efficient design methods, and scripting languages.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and optimize logic design, register transfer level (RTL) coding, and simulation for the CPU.
  2. Participate in defining the architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU design.
  3. Write RTL and optimize logic for power, performance, area, and timing goals.
  4. Ensure design integrity for physical implementation through effective strategies, tools, and methods.
  5. Review verification plans to ensure design features are correctly validated and resolve failing RTL tests.
